Advent Reflection: Fourth Week of Advent Year B

Readings:
2 Samuel 7:1-5, 8-11, 16
Romans 16:25-27
Luke 1:26-38

Theme: LOVE

We are now into the fourth week of Advent and just a few days away from welcoming the child Jesus. How exciting! This week’s theme is focused on love, God’s love for us his children. Are we aware of how much God loves us? Do we spurn His Love? Do we busy ourselves doing things that we think might please the Lord, like David wanted to?

God loves us unconditionally. He doesn’t need us to build Him a hut, or a house or a palace. He is not concern with our doing. Rather, He would be happy with our being; our being still knowing that He is Lord and allowing Him to dwell in the temple of our being. As we step into the final stretch of Advent, let us make time in our busy schedule to be silent and still and to feel God’s love.
